Summary:A dilemma is a situation where there is difficulty in making a choice on something. This is because there are obstacles or factors that influence the decision maker to choose something that is the best for himself. Therefore, this study aims to explore the determinants of Muslim entrepreneurs dilemma in Malaysia Halal Certificate application. Malaysia Halal Certificate is an official documents stating the halal status of product or service according to the Malaysia Halal Certification scheme issued by JAKIM. Malaysia Halal Certificate is highly demanded by entrepreneurs in order to expand the market size by making the consumer more confidence on their products and services. The demanded for the application on Malaysia Halal Certificate is influenced by development of the halal industry and also the increasing demand for halal products from Muslims and non - Muslims. However, the Malaysia Halal Certificate application processes and procedures including several stage before the applicant is approved and given permission to use Malaysia Halal Certificate. This study is done used a qualitative methodology. Eleven informants who are Muslim entrepreneurs from the food premise category has been interviewed in order to collect the data for this study. Data gathered was analyzed using thematic analysis. The results showed that in general, there are several factors that cause dilemmas among Muslim entrepreneurs in Malaysia Halal Certificate application. One of the possible reasons to explain this finding is due to the insufficient of information on Malaysia Halal Certification. Therefore, this study is hopefully will be able to contribute to a better understanding in the dilemma of Muslim entrepreneurs on Malaysia Halal Certificate application. It also will be able to help in guiding the relevant authorities to help Muslim entrepreneurs on having Malaysia Halal Certificate.
