Description
Summary:This paper is concerning with MHD stagnation-point flow problem of a viscous and incompressible fluid passing through a stretching/shrinking sheet with the effects of heat sink and radiation. A suitable similarity transformation is chosen to reduce the governing nonlinear partial differential equations into the system of higher order nonlinear ordinary differential equations. The computed results are then being verified by comparing the current values with the existing results. The behaviors of the skin friction coefficient and heat transfer rate are plotted in the form of graph to facilitate analysis. From the analysis, it is found out that the velocity inside the boundary layer increases with the increase of magnetic strength as the boundary layer thickness decreases. The temperature decreases as the magnetic strength and heat sink increase. © 2019 Author(s).
