New media, with its convenient, fast and personalized advantages, are becoming more and more popular in universities and has greatly influenced General Education, which has been a focus during the past decades. To effectively raise the level of General Education in universities, this paper aims to providing tragedies for teachers on how to update the educational teaching concept, teaching methodology, teaching content so as to promote the deep integration of new media and general education in the students' learning style, ideology, value orientation, behavior mode and personality psychology on the basis of the opportunities and challenges brought forth by new media.
