Summary: | In the Malaysian public sector, a group of Information Technology (IT) experts and decision makers is the mastermind of the future in Information Technology (IT). Therefore, common understanding between the IT experts and the decision makers is imperative for a collaborative and comprehensive decision making. However, there are few studies that gauge the parties’ potential in knowledge integration, especially in terms of communication. Hence, developing further understanding of the communication factors that influence the knowledge integration between IT experts and decision makers is essential. Literature analysis showed that four factors influence the knowledge communication conceptual model: sharer, knowledge, relationship, and institution. However, after examining the Malaysian public sector by using purposive sampling strategy, there is a need to enhance the factors by highlighting two new items: highlevel thinking and type of knowledge. These additional factors would improve the comprehensive knowledge communication in organizations for the decision making process. |
