Miniaturisation of ring shape element frequency selective surface for X-band shielding

A novel miniaturized ring loop (MRL) frequency selective surface (FSS) for X-band signals shielding is presented in this paper. The size of the FSS unit cell is reduced by 17.44% or 0.113λ as compare to the conventional ring shape element. The proposed MRL is designed on 1.6mm Fire-Retardant 4 (FR-4...

The proposed FSS is then fabricated and validated experimentally. The measured results have a good agreement with simulated results.
