Description
Summary:In providing quality and highly qualified employees in this era of globalization, the organization deserve full attention in expanding the potential of employees thus enhancing their level of work performance. Communication within organizations is said to be the primary medium for generating and improving productivity of workers and organizations. Without the effectiveness and smoothness of organizational communication, the implementation of each strategy and workflow will undoubtedly interfere with the ineffectiveness and smoothness of the strategic and neatly planned implementation of the strategy. This can indirectly improve the level of employee engagement and thus bring about and contribute to the productivity of workers and organizations. This study was conducted at the National Audit Department, Putrajaya. There are four main objectives of this study are to identify the level of employee organizational communication, to identify the level of employee engagement, to identify the relationship between organizational communication and employee engagement, and to identify the dominant organizational communication flow that influences employee engagement. The findings show that the flow of communication is moderate and horizontal and downstream communications flow is at a high level. For work engagements, the study shows that the three aspects of work involvement show a high level. In the meantime, studies show that there is a significant relationship between the three types of communication flows with employee engagement. Among the three communication streams, studies show that the flow of communication is more dominant in influencing employee engagement in the National Audit Department, Putrajaya. Researchers hopes those employees are more likely to be more committed to work and organization if the organization is more inclined to the concept of openness and considers the importance of the above-mentioned communication in its implementation within the organization. In conclusion, there may be other factors that can have an impact on the effectiveness of communication flow on job involvement. Hopefully, the results of this study can be guided by future researchers as well as provide benefits and guidance to management.
