Summary:Ths study investigates the anxiety level of primary students based on three subscales, communication apprehension, fear of negative evaluation and general anxiety. The questionnaire used in this study was adapted from the Foreign Language Class Anxiety Scale (FLCAS) developed by Homitz for mean and percentages using the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) Version 18. The 140 primary students participated in this study and they were dvided into two groups; beginner and intermediate. The results indicate that beginners had moderate anxiety while intermedate had low anxiety.
