Summary:This study was conducted to examine the relationship between Islamic work ethics toward Primary School’s teacher performance in East Tanjungpinang area. The objectives of this study is to identifying the level of work ethic Islam and job performance among teachers, to studying the relationship between Islamic work ethics and teacher performance, and to examines factors work ethic Islam dominant influence on job performance. This study was conducted at the State Primary School in East Tanjungpinang area. The study population consisted of 134 respondents and appropriate sample is 118 respondents. Sampling techniques used in this study is a random sample technique. Analysis of the data in this study using mean score, the Pearson product moment correlation, and multiple regression. The findings of this study is the level of work ethic Islam is at a high level, performance practice are at a high level, level of work ethic Islam has a positive relationship with job performance. and the level of work ethic affect the level of teacher performance. Through these statistics can also be seen if the level of work ethic Islam workers increased, the level of performance also increased, while if the level of work ethic Islam decreasing teacher performance also decreases. Therefore, it was found that the fourth objective factors work together and think contend is the most dominant variable affecting work performance and less dominant factors or the lowest in job performance is Sincere and Trust. Implications of the study should be Islamic work ethic can be a universal element in Indonesia to improve job performance among teachers.
