Summary:Assessment for Learning (AfL) is the process of using assessment to improve learning activity involving all students in their own learning, providing opportunities for students to assess themselves and understand how they are learning and progressing, which can boost motivation and confidence. Assessment for learning should be part of effective planning of teaching and learning strategies that address the diverse needs of different groups of learners, and should acknowledge the barriers to learning that some of them encounter. The main objective of this study was to measure assessment for learning outcomes. This study used the quantitative survey design, carried out in Indonesia using the purposive sampling method involving 100 lecturers in Indonesia. The data were analyzed using t-test, anova, and chi-square. The instrument validity and reliability were determined using the Rasch Model analysis. The finding shows that the person reliability is excellent, as well as item reliability, showing a valued 0.96, which is also excellent. The instrument can be used for assessing teaching practice in universities which can indicate the best practice in educational processes.
