Suitable network architecture with appropriate routing protocol is a must for the implementation of cognitive radio network. Thus, this paper presents a novel on-demand routing protocol for cluster-based cognitive radio ad-hoc network. In the proposed model, the network is divided into clusters, where spatial variations of spectrum are considered for clustering. The proposed routing protocol is defined as a weighted graph problem, where weight of a link is calculated based on three types of delay, namely switching delay, back-off delay and queuing delay. To evaluate the performance of the proposed protocol, simulation is conducted where it is found that the proposed protocol out performs other existing protocols.
