In this paper, Myanmar noun phrase extraction system using maximum matching approach is proposed and evaluated. Predefined Noun Phrase Structure Rules in Context Free Grammar are used in this system. Myanmar Noun phrases are extracted from POS tagged Myanmar sentences by matching the Part of Speech Tags of input sentence to the predefined Noun Phrase Structure Rules in Context Free Grammar.
