Analysis of triple band artificial magnetic conductor (AMC) band conditions to wideband antenna performance
This paper presents the design of wideband antenna integrated with triple band artificial magnetic conductor (AMC) ground plane. The wideband antenna that acts as Reference Antenna (RA) operates from 2.69 GHz up to 6.27 GHz while the triple band AMC operates at 2.3 GHz, 5.8 GHz and 8.3 GHz. The inve...

Summary: | This paper presents the design of wideband antenna integrated with triple band artificial magnetic conductor (AMC) ground plane. The wideband antenna that acts as Reference Antenna (RA) operates from 2.69 GHz up to 6.27 GHz while the triple band AMC operates at 2.3 GHz, 5.8 GHz and 8.3 GHz. The investigation is carried out to observe the capability of triple band AMC to excite at least three new narrowband resonances which are in band (IB), slightly out Of band (SOB) and totally out of band (TOB) with respect to the bandwidth of RA. The antennas performance parameter such as return loss, gain variation, and radiation pattern are presented. |
