Description
Summary:This paper represents the Graphical User Interface (GUI) MATLAB application for teaching in vibration simulation of beam structure. The fixed-free mode of flexible beam is chosen. The finite difference (FD) method is proposed in this paper as the algorithm for the beam motion. The layout of the GUI is built using `guide' MATLAB which contains many components which can be programmed easily to run the FD algorithm. As a result, the GUI is user friendly due to the easiness to get understanding and the results of the simulation. All the parameters used in FD method can be saved in any named file and location set by the user, especially the output and the input will be used in System Identification.
