Description
Summary:A power limitation on a small-sized of a stall regulated wind turbine is presented. The turbine is designed with a rated power of 25kWatt and operating in variable speed. The turbine is designed to use a 30kWatt Squirrel cage Induction Generator (SCIG) to generate electricity. A control algorithm using Indirect Vector Control (IVC) has been designed, and the performance has been analysed. A good result is achieved where the power can be limited at the rated value during high wind velocity. The comparison transient response when the different controller’s gain i stuned is also demonstrated. This proposed design is to be used in the stall regulated wind turbine, with active speed control.
