Summary: | To begin, the paper by Rau et al. studies the adhesion and corrosion performance of an acrylic-epoxy hybrid coating on mild steel panels. The hybrid systems were prepared by blending an acrylic polyol resin (A) with an epoxy polyol resin (E) in various weight ratios and by applying them on pre-treated cold rolled mild steel panels. The authors found that the hybrid coating comprising 900% acrylic resin blended with 100% epoxy resin exhibits good adhesive properties. |
