Description
Summary:This research is conducted to identify the perception of a group of primary school teachers towards the top management support, training and user?s education and workload factors on the awareness of Education Management Information System (SMPP/EMIS). Respondents? perception towards their awareness as the information system is also being studied. This research is also aim to identify the relationship between the factors and the awareness level of the information system. Data collection is made through the questionnaires form distributed to 86 respondents. Data is being analysed by using the descriptive statistic and correlation analysis. The result of this research shows that perception towards the three factors studied are good. Besides that, the respondents agreed that the level of factors studied which are the top management support, training and user?s education and workload are high in their school?s environment towards the implementation of the information system. The awareness level is also found at high level. Correlation analysis shows that there is a significant relationship between the factors studied and the awareness of the information system. There is a contradiction on the top management support factor findings compared to some of the previous research. However, the findings on the workload and training factors are coherent with the models and past findings as discussed in the literature reviews.
