Summary:The influence of slip condition on unsteady magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) flow of Newtonian fluid induced by an accelerated plate is investigated. The Newtonian fluid saturates the porous space. The exact solutions for both constant and variable accelerated flows are obtained by using Laplace transform method. Graphical results are plotted and discussed. The obtained solutions clearly satisfy the governing equations and all the imposed initial and boundary conditions. Many interesting results can be obtained as the special cases of the presented analysis.
