Summary: | This paper discusses the challenges in providing services to the scientists in the life sciences work domain. In this domain, the bench scientists undertake their experimental work not only in wet laboratory but their work also includes dry experiments. These types of experiments require bench scientists search, access and retrieve biological data stored publicly in the Internet. In addition, they also use and manipulate data using computational tools available provided to them by various information service provider. The aim of this paper is to discuss the nature of biological information space and the challenges that faced by the bench scientists when they perform dry experiments. The theoretical framework that will further assist in investigating bioinformatics experiments in more details was also discussed. |
