Summary:The application of cognitive intelligence and professional skills in real world problem solving is defined as epistemic fluency. Epistemic fluency is essential to engage the students in authentic learning while providing room for improvement and innovation. This paper presents a systematic literature review on epistemic fluency and the various strategies to develop it in a scientific context. A systematic search of the literature was conducted to select articles related to epistemic fluency for this review. The objective is to identify how epistemic fluency is developed in a scientific context and the constraints involved. The findings of this literature review communicate the ways to develop and improve epistemic practices to promote epistemic fluency among students, especially in higher education institutions.
