A comparison of the bandwidth coverage for different metasurface reflector shapes.

This paper presents the comparison of metasurface reflector structure performance based on four different shape: circle, octagon, hexagon and square structures that working at X-band frequencies RIS application. The simulation process of the metasurface reflector structure are carried out using the...

TK6570 Mobile Communication System This paper presents the comparison of metasurface reflector structure performance based on four different shape: circle, octagon, hexagon and square structures that working at X-band frequencies RIS application. The simulation process of the metasurface reflector structure are carried out using the Computer Simulation Technology (CST) Microwave Studio software. The dielectric substrate used in the simulation is FR-4 substrate with the permittivity of 4.6. The shape structure is copper metal, is design on the top surface of the FR-4 substrate while at the bottom surface is a full copper ground plane. Although the square structure is known to have the best reflection performance, however based on this study, it proven that the octagon and hexagon structures have better performance in terms of reflection percentage which is more than 90% reflection and more than 30% of bandwidth coverage. 2023-07-23 Conference or Workshop Item PeerReviewed Yaziz, N.
