Analysis of material impact on eddy current using ansys Maxwell software

In industrial railway, the eddy current diamagnetic levitation is still unaffordable to replace the latest technology due to its insufficient force productivity. Application of eddy current is more on the braking system, heating and melting process and non-destructive testing [1]-[3]. In a few decad...

Electronics Nuclear engineering In industrial railway, the eddy current diamagnetic levitation is still unaffordable to replace the latest technology due to its insufficient force productivity. Application of eddy current is more on the braking system, heating and melting process and non-destructive testing [1]-[3]. In a few decades, the research and development of eddy current levitation are never-ending towards amplifying the repulsion force. In paper [4] description on the example of electromagnetic suspension and the levitation method. The available method such as levitation using diamagnetic materials and levitation using eddy current are described clearly. In paper [5] description about the fundamental of eddy current levitation with a simple demonstration. Whereas, paper [6] described the theory of eddy current with simple testing. In paper [7], the summarized process of magnetization at the microscopic level was described. Next, in paper [8], the simulation model using ANSYS Maxwell in order to find out the density of eddy current was explained. In paper [9] description of the properties of diamagnetic, paramagnetic and ferromagnetic.
