Interpretation of the Qur'anic Kawniyyah verses has undergone a transformation from the early emergence of epistemology until the current time. Studies of these verses by scholars have been carried out actively from the classical period until the post-modern era that witnesses the emergence of academic papers in that field. Hence, this article focuses on the work done by them in interpreting these verses. This article also focuses on the writing methodologies of prominent figures in the production of academic materials. In accordance with the changes of time and emergence of new discoveries in an issue being studied, of course, transformation occurs in the writings of a scholar. The interpretation exploration activity has begun from the Abbasid period, especially during the reign of Caliph Harun al-Rashid and followed by Caliph al-Mamun. Researches in this area continue to undergo a massive transformation through al-Ghazali, who is seen as a figure that gives legitimacy to this interpretation.
