The research problem is the frequent violation of human rights in Egypt, and neglecting the important and effective role played by non-governmental organizations operating in Egypt in the field of human rights. The study aims to emphasize that the very defence of human rights, to defend his rights and the rights of his brothers, is the noblest of human ambition. It is the task of everyone to issue respect and protection of human rights and not the task confined to particular bodies or institutions. Non-governmental organizations or civil society organizations have made an effort to post all the potential in the defence of human rights, respect and freedoms, yet this study only touches on the role of these organizations in the protection of human rights. Therefore, the study will enlighten more on local organizations and international organizations and the distinction between governmental and non-governmental organizations with mentioning some non-governmental organizations in Egypt and around the world.
