The purpose of this research is to evaluate procedures and steps in producing fatwa (religious advisory opinion) especially related to the medical issues and its compilation from year 1998-2003. Besides that, it tries to see the cooperation between National Fatwa Council or known by Majlis Fatwa Kebangsaan and medical experts to come out with certain fatwa for medical issues. Simultaneously, it foresees any suggestion and recommendation from medical experts which have been taken into consideration before issuing any fatwa. The research focused on fatwa of medical issues that have been decided in consultation with Majlis Fatwa Kebangsaan during the mentioned period. In conclusion, there is a supportive cooperation between both parties. Therefore, our Muslim society should not be suspicious with Majlis Fatwa Kebangsaan as well as undermining the credibility and competency of Majlis Fatwa Kebangsaan in getting solutions related to the current issues and medical issues inclusively.
