Summary: | Radiation (UV/EB) Curable Palm Oil (PO) Based Resins can be utilised to produce Green
coatings, adhesives, printing inks & overprint varnishes (OPV). The formation of radiation
curable palm oil resins or acrylated palm oil resins was usually achieved by acrylation of
epoxidised palm oil to produce EPOLA, which could be further converted into palm oil
based acrylated polyurethane (POBUA) through isocyanation process. These resins could
then be utilised for the production of Green coatings, adhesives, printing inks & overprint
varnishes (OPV) by subjecting them under UV/EB irradiations. |
