The main objectives of this system are to shorten the time taken by the lecturers in the matching process and to achieve zero defects in the transfer of the examination marks during the matching process. The system was fully developed by our own PSA lecturers in May 2007. A pilot test was carried out in the Electrical Engineering Department. It involved 40 lecturers, 29 classes, 1533 students and 41 courses. From observation, the time taken by the lecturers in the matching process was reduced from 45 minutes to 5 minutes, almost 90 percent for every single class and not a single error was found throughout the matching process. It was proven that the use of SPKB could avoid making mistakes while transferring the marks from the student's answer script to the system. The system was fully implemented in the other departments ie. Civil Engineering Department. Mechanical Engineering Department and Commerce Department during the final semester examination in the academic session of January 2010. The system is user friendly and cost effective and also the cost incurred to install the system is at a minimum. The system has tremendously reduced the stress of the lecturers especially those with many classes in the matching process during the final semester examination. 2012-12-31T04:31:32Z 2012-12-31T04:31:32Z 2012-12-31 Conference Paper http://ddms.usim.edu.my/handle/123456789/6112 en |
