Description
Summary:Post-traumatic disorder is a complex psychological problem that needs psychological and social treatment to overcome its negative effects because it leads to psychosocial harm to the victim and the surrounding society. Hence, the aim of this study was to investigate the causal relationship between post-traumatic stress disorder resulted from the horrors of war on one hand, and the psychological & social compatibility of the physically injured subjects on the other hand. The study sample consisted of 325 injured in the revolution of February 17, 2011 in Libya. The researcher employed several statistical methods, including: Factor Analysis, Confirmatory Factory Analysis and Structural Equation Modeling for statistical information processing, and testing of the proposed model and its relevance to the real model. Furthermore, the researcher employed Multivariate Analysis to determine the qualitative differences between the hypothesis and baseline data of the selected sample. The results of the meta-analysis indicate that all the questions in the questionnaire were saturated under factors according to the criteria used by the researcher. The results of the Confirmatory Factory Analysis, first and second level through the Amos program, showed that the two scales were characterized by Convergent and differential reliability. The quality indicators indicated that the proposed model was well suited to the real model. Moreover, the result of the Structural Equation Modeling revealed a causal relationship between post-traumatic stress disorder and psychological and social compatibility. In addition, the result of the Multivariate analysis (MANOVA) indicated that there were statistically differences between the components of the disorder and the psychological and social compatibility and personal data. It showed that fighters aged 18-23 were the most affected by war, this means their social status and the type of injury have affected their psychological and social compatibility.
