This research is focusing on the iqrab ‘waw’ and ‘nun’ on Jama’ Muzakar Salim and Aful Khamsah. It is also aimed to expose these Sma MAIWP students to the syntax approach in iqrab, syllabus of Azhari curriculum in line with the scheme by Jabatan Agama Islam Selangor (JAIS). The research has used a qualitative approach in which the reasearcher distributed the test papers containing questions of Jama’ Muzakar Salim and Aful Khamsah. The test conducted on 120 form four students of SMA MAIWP. Researcher has obtained the end result by program statistical analysis (SPSS). Researcher has as well distributed survey forms to teachers to figure out the reason of the problems. Finding shows that there are three main weakness toward the usage of syntax method. The reasons being are unable to differentiate the syntax signs, not competent enough using the method and less practice is done. Finding also shows that student’s acquisition on the lesson is weaker compared to after lesson.
