There might be an arc flash occurrence on the photovoltaic system when maintenance activities going. The workers are exposed to arc flash hazard if fault take place. The workers will get injuries when exposed to arc flash event. To create safer working environment, the workers need appropriate personnel protective equipment. Arc flash analysis for AC system is done on the photovoltaic system by simulating in ETAP software. This thesis present the procedure of using ETAP software to analyze single line diagram of the 17kW photovoltaic system. By using ETAP, the incident energy during arc flash occurrence calculated based on NFPA-70E standards. Based on the incident energy, appropriate PPE will be recommended to the workers.
