Description
Summary:In recent years, the development of concrete reinforced with natural fiber has become a trend among researchers due to its attractive and promising properties. The idea of utilizing natural fiber as reinforcing materials in concrete is deemed to be a favorable topic in most developing countries due to the availability of feedstocks. Therefore, extensive studies related to the improvement of natural fiber-reinforced concrete are needed. This chapter is aimed to critically discuss the natural fiber-reinforced concretes properties, including crushing and flexural, as well as their enhancement properties. An elaborative application of the enhanced properties of natural fiber-reinforced concrete has also been reviewed. 2024 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
