Among all the method used to weld Stainless Steel and Mild Steel, TIG Welding is the most reliable method.TIG Welding has the advantage of having small weld head, required only a low heat input and the filet metal is optional. The only disadvantage is it's expensive equipments. The objective of this research project is to investigate the Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) Welding joints and its mechanical properties on 316 Stainless Steel and Mild Steel. The aim is to understand the characteristic of the joint of 316 Stainless Steel and Mild Steel using the TIG Welding process. In the material specified, the characteristic will predetermined the purpose of the material being chosen in some industrial works and the results of using the 316 Stainless Steel and Mild Steel as core material to compensator the load and force were given. In this research, both 316 Stainless Steel and Mild Steel will be used and the plates will be weld using Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding process. Both the plates will be welded according to several specifications proposed and the welded materials will be treated in the material laboratory. The material will be tested using several Non Destructive Test (NDT) such as Radiography Test (RT) and Liquid Penetrant Test (LPT) to obtain the results. After that, the result will be compare with the theoretical results given and analyze the weakness in the procedures. The safety measurements of the Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding process will be followed and the conditions of the work place will be determined as to get the most precise and accurate results. 2024-10-10T03:42:55Z 2024-10-10T03:42:55Z 2014 Resource Types::text::Final Year Project https://irepository.uniten.edu.my/handle/123456789/33811 en application/pdf
