Three parameters are investigated in this project, which are air temperature, air velocity (wind) and air humidity. These parameters are measured using the suitable measuring device to obtain the actual data. Simulation is performed using the Computational Fluid Dynamics software which is Gambit and FLUENT. The objective of this study is to identify the human thermal comfort of a residential house in Malaysia. Malaysia with hot and humid climates, cause thermal discomfort to the occupants of many residential especially when these houses are not equipped with air-conditioning system. This thesis presents a study on an assessment of the thermal comfort level in a naturally ventilated house using the actual data obtained and simulation. Originally, the occupants of the house investigated state that they feel not comfortable living in the house especially during the afternoon. Data collections are performed at certain location inside the house and simulation using the CFD software is done in order to access the thermal comfort level of occupants inside the house. The thermal comfort level in the house was found not to satisfy the comfort limits specified by ASHRAE standards. 2024-08-26T03:58:20Z 2024-08-26T03:58:20Z 2014 Resource Types::text::Final Year Project https://irepository.uniten.edu.my/handle/123456789/33315 en application/pdf |
