The author had given the task to design the powertrain and the steering mechanism for the amphibious vehicle to be used on both land and water. The design of the systems should have a set of special features that includes functionality, effectiveness and safety of vehicle operation. Propulsion system and its auxiliaries must use modern technology such as power jets. On-water steering system should demonstrate good and quick maneuverability. All system design should consider lowest overall vehicle weight. Various research and case studies has been carried out throughout the project duration to improve the design with adaption.
