Tissues engineering sciences intent to establish material that can be used in the human body to restore damaged tissues. Y-TZP ceramic which have a remarkable properties is one of the material used in bone healing. Unfortunately, the material itself have a big flaw known as ageing. Ageing can cause the material to weaken while the mechanical properties decline terribly. The rise in grain size is one of the cause in ageing of the ceramic. The study is conducted to overcome the problems related to improve the mechanical and physical properties of the Y-TZP ceramic as well as to develop an ageing resistant of biocomposition by using different sintering technique. This project is combining the Y-TZP ceramic with the Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) and Tricalcium Phosphate (TCP). These three materials are combined to provide 5 samples of 40g of weight with different compositions each. As for the bulk density, the samples with the temperature of 1400°C shows a highest bulk density value compared to other temperature. The force of the samples produced a highest average of force in Experiment 3 with 15093.2N. The highest value in hardness is 10.80GPa. The sample from the temperature 1400°C shows an ideal composition of the composite. The highest value of Young Modulus, E is obtained in Experiment 2 which is 6.07. The grain size in this study shows an increase as the sintering temperature increases. 2024-05-03T07:19:47Z 2024-05-03T07:19:47Z 2017 Resource Types::text::Final Year Project https://irepository.uniten.edu.my/handle/123456789/32089 en_US application/pdf |
