This investigation aims to evaluate the effects of Bottom Ash (BA) and Used- Cooking Oil (UCO) on the physical properties and strength of hardened SCC. The main parameters that were studied involved design SCC mixes containing bottom ash and mineral admixtures of UCO. The cost of materials will be decreased by reducing the natural aggregates content and replaced by using bottom ash with an admixture, both from waste product. This project also investigated the hardened state of the properties of SCC such as compressive strength of SCC and aggregates impact value test (AIV). The finding of this study revealed that incorporating Bottom-ash provides low strength for SCC. Nevertheless, the compressive strength of SCC in research project developed at 28 days ranging from 6.306 to 7.860 N/mm2 by increasing the bottom ash content of concrete to 15%. Understanding and attention of the UCO as admixture to be used is essential to ensure the consistency of the SCC mixture. The potential of Bottom-ash as a fine aggregates replacement material to produce SCC should be exploited by the Malaysia construction industry. The results showed that incorporating bottom-ash could succesfully develop an economical SCC if better adjustment to this project's mix design and additional admixture is used. 2024-05-03T07:17:51Z 2024-05-03T07:17:51Z 2015 Resource Types::text::Final Year Project https://irepository.uniten.edu.my/handle/123456789/32087 en_US application/pdf
