The sintering rate, holding time and sintering temperature have been three parameters studied in this project. The mixed done mechanically for iron powder ASC100.29 and Zinc Stearate while it been set up for 30 minutes at 30 revolutions per minutes during the preparing feedstock process to be compacted at 150 °C with a product loaded at 130 kN. In order to compact the powder and form green samples, the upper and lower punches are pushed together. The green sample is then removed from the compact machine and sintered by the use of Argon gas under air pressure. The ions in the samples diffused throughout the particle borders through sintering and joined the particles together, thereby forming a whole different, special solid mass. All sintered samples were characterized for their physical, electrical and mechanical properties by assessing changes in density, electrical resistance and bending tests. The results show that the sample sintered for a more significant period at 9 hours 28 minutes the slowest sintering rate, 5 °C/minute obtained the better final characterization. 2024-04-23T03:52:15Z 2024-04-23T03:52:15Z 2020 Resource Types::text::Final Year Project https://irepository.uniten.edu.my/handle/123456789/31923 en application/pdf |
