Three different system of sandwich structure are considered. The first system is Homogenous Sandwich system (HS system) where the face sheet and core made up from same material with different material properties. The second system is the Functionally Graded Sandwich system (FGS system) where the face sheet is build from Functionally Graded Material and the core is made up from homogenous material. Lastly, Functionally Graded Interlayer Sandwich system (FGIS system). For - this system, Functionally Graded Material is substitute beneath Homogenous Face Sheet and the core. The Young's modulus involve in the sandwich system is assume to vary through the thickness of the plate and the Poisson's ratio remain constant. The volume fractions of Functionally Graded Material obey the Sigmoid Function. Even though the main objective in using Functionally Graded Material is to eliminate the abrupt change in material properties and stress discontinuity at the interface between face sheet and core in sandwich structure, it may not be an optimal solution since it has some marginal effects on the bending response. This study will attempt to solve the marginal effect in sandwich structure and investigate the bending response and the result will be reveal detail in this study. 2024-03-05T00:24:10Z 2024-03-05T00:24:10Z 2012 Resource Types::text::Final Year Project https://irepository.uniten.edu.my/handle/123456789/31498 en_US application/pdf |
