Summary: | Ionic conductivity of PAN-PC-LiClO4 with propylene carbonate filler as a function of LiClO4 concentration and temperature has been studied. The electrolyte samples were prepared by solution casting technique. The ionic conductivity was measured using impedance spectroscopy technique. The electrolyte conductivity increases with LiClO4 concentration and temperature. The conductivity temperature behavior of the electrolyte is Arrhennian. The highest room temperature conductivity of the electrolyte of 4.210-4 Scm-1 was obtained at 10% by weight of LiClO4. The electrolyte conductivity has been improved by 60 times by replacing PVC by PAN. The activation energy, Ea and pre-exponential factor, ?o are 0.46 eV and 2.010-4 Scm-1, respectively. The glass transition temperature of the electrolyte with 10% and 15% by weight of LiClO4 are 83.7 and 78.8 C, respectively. 2008 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved. |
