Development of lightning localization system using interferometet signal processing

Lightning is a nature phenomenon where it can cause overvoltage and overcurrent in the power line. This project is about the analysis of lightning signal using Picoscope 6. The informationof the lightning will be collected and plotted in the form of graphs. There will be also the simulation results using MATLAB to show the waveforms of the lightning. Just before collecting the information about the lightning, there will be a setup called "VHF mapping" to determine the arrival of radiation. The VHF mapping comprises of antennas that installed to receive the VHF radiation signals from the lightning. by using interferometer, the arrival of lightning in terms of time can be determined accurately. At the end of the project, three VHF signals will be presented and analyzed based on time of arrival, the magnitudes and the windows of the signals.
