Description
Summary:A miniaturized printed antenna circuit of low profile based on a T-stub resonator that is fetched to the third iteration of a modified Moore fractal based on a half unit cell. A simple rectangular patch at the back side of the proposed antenna is attached to enhance the antenna bandwidth and gain. The advantage of introducing the fractal curve is to increase the antenna size reduction. On the other hand, the use of T-stub resonator is to magnify the electric field fringing through charge localization in the air gap between the fractal geometry and the rectangular patch on the back side. The antenna structure is excited with a coplanar waveguide structure(CPW). The patch is printed on FR4 substrate with dimensions of (47 25 1.6) mm3. To investigate the antenna performance, a parametric study is applied on proposed antenna to achieve multi frequency bands with improved bandwidth, gain, matching impudence. The results shows that the antenna resonates at the frequency bands of 2.7GHz, 3.9GHz and 5.7 GHz with bandwidth (2.4GHz-3GHz), (3.7GHz-4 GHz) and (4.1GHz-6 GHz) respectively. The obtained gain at the three frequency bands is found to be 2dBi, 2.1dBi and 3dBi, respectively. The proposed geometry is found to be applicable for different applications in the sub-6 5G commination networks. The proposed study depends on a simulation analyzes by using CST MWS software package of finite integral technique. 2022 Institute of Advanced Engineering and Science (IAES).
