Hence, this study is aimed to identify the adopted software reusability approaches in the Malaysian IT industry. Quantitative analysis method was used by collecting data through online questionnaire, distributed to 183 IT industry players in Malaysia. Results from this study indicated that the main software reusability approaches adopted by Malaysian IT industry are design patterns, component-based development, application frameworks, COTS Integration and Service-oriented Systems. © 2014 IEEE.
