Frequent traffic congestion has resulted in a loss of productivity for society as regards empty time on the road, particularly in major cities. One initiative from the Government to solve this problem was to improve the bus services. The implementation of the Bus Network Revamp (BNR) in 2015 was aimed to reorganized the existing bus corridors into smaller corridors as to improve the efficiency of the services. However, this new implementation had some setbacks and passengers had voiced their dissatisfaction publicly. As Johor, Negeri Seremban and Johor falls within the BNR, and there were no comprehensive studies conducted previously, there is a need to provide a detailed analysis of the state of the bus service performance rating in Southern of Peninsular Malaysia. The Transit Capacity and Quality of Service Manual (TCQSM) was chosen based on the review with two other manuals and guidelines. Two attributes On Time Performance and Service Coverage was chosen to be studied based on the reviews from journals and papers. Based on the final results, a Quality of Service (QOS) of F was obtained, which was regarded as lowest. The key recommendations for the operators were to provide bus scheduling information and to provide the passengers with detailed details.
