The slight improvement of the mentioned factors pushes the government to enact laws to in order to stabilize and produce outcomes that satisfies the requirements regulate by the authority. In addition, these enactments also provide its own standard operational procedure to ensure any potential hazards can be mitigated. The increasing in rate of development of the aforementioned factors also affected the societal community and interactions especially in rural areas. As a result, residential developers are forced to build housing area near the city in order to promote feasibility for the residents. The uncontrolled rate of infrastructure development by developers affects the land availability of the area for other purposes resulting residential buildings to be built at hilly terrains. Constructing building at hilly terrains are quite risky as the structure can affect the slope stability of the slope. Identifying the type of soils of the slope is imperative because soils determines the method statement for the consultant and contractors as dealing with soils works on a hilly terrain requires experience and knowledges. The purpose of this study is to determine the soil and slope behaviour and parameters. Acquiring the parameters are paramount because the data can be used to draft plans prior proceed with the next construction phase. The data acquisition methods used is non-destructive tests, laboratory tests and slope stability analysis. The result obtained from implementing mentioned methods shows the data of the soils and slope stability analysis are quite promising. However, certain site in-situ tests is needed to be conduct in order to verified the acquired data. Ensuring the integrity of obtained data by performing mentioned test could avoid potential problems and failures from occurred. Another way to avoid potential hazards after construction is to reduce immersing load to the slope to avoid slope failure. This is to maintain the stability and maintain the slope and its equilibrium state. 2023-05-03T17:37:28Z 2023-05-03T17:37:28Z 2020-09 Resource Types::text::Thesis https://irepository.uniten.edu.my/handle/123456789/21672 application/pdf
