As mentioned before energy security can be define as “the physical availability of supplies to satisfy demand at a given price” according to International Energy Agency (IEA) and they also defines energy supply to be “secure” if it is adequate, affordable and reliable[1].There are a lot of study that been carry out on energy security yet there is no agreement on widely accepted the definition of energy security[2].Dealing with a massive approach about the energy security, several conceptual frameworks of it have been used so far and among of these conceptual frameworks, Asia Pacific Energy Research Centre(APERC) introduced the “4As” framework to quantitatively analyze the energy security[3] and in this study it will be based on that frameworks. Basically the 4As term were “Availability”,” Accessibility”,” Affordability” and “Acceptability” which each of the aspects contain several indicator that describe the frameworks in term of energy security. The energy policy in Malaysia is reviewed every 5 years as it is one of the parts in “Five-Year Malaysia Plan”. The Five-Year Malaysia Plan is a Malaysia’s economic development and sets a growth tone for Malaysia for the next 5 years and currently Malaysia is implementing the final five year plan in the journey towards realizing vision 2020 which is the “Eleventh Malaysia Plan” that encouraging sustainable energy use to support growth. The chronology of energy policies in Malaysia are National Petroleum Policy (1975),National Energy Policy (1979),National Depletion Policy (1980),Four-fuel Policy (1981),Five-fuel Policy (2001) and National Renewable Energy policy(2010).Basically the important of this policy were to secure the energy security in Malaysia including the environmental impact, economic development and sustain development[4].As being blessed with a good mix of energy resources from conventional energy resources like oil, natural gas and coal, to a renewable energy such as solar energy, hydro power electricity, biomass and wind, it is obviously show that Malaysia have a good potential of each energy 2023-05-03T17:33:38Z 2023-05-03T17:33:38Z 2020-02 https://irepository.uniten.edu.my/handle/123456789/21653 application/pdf
