Summary: | Stress is a feeling of physical or emotional tension. Having to feel stressed is normal for a living organism as it helps us to make decisions. Stress can come many situations and feelings such as too much workload, feeling angry and others. It is fine to feel stressed now and then as it acts as a motivator for us to act or accomplish certain things in life. However, too much stress is unhealthy as it will lead to many dangerous health issues such as depression. This project uses the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) approach in the development of the final design of the product. This approach allows the design to use the customer’s requirements as a benchmark allowing it to achieve better quality. This paper introduces a new method to reduce stress through the combination of several therapies merged into one called the blended therapy. These techniques include NLP, EFT, reflexology and hypnosis. In conjunction with the therapy, a device is built as a medium that enhances the effectiveness of the blended therapy and help the users reduce their stress levels and achieve calmness. The prototype is tested along with the blended therapy and a series of tests measuring several elements of the body such as blood pressure, body composition, brain activity and others were done. Candidates will undergo several measurements before and after the testing. One of the respondent’s diastolic blood pressure reading reduced from 119 mm/Hg to 77 mm/Hg which resulted in a change from abnormal to normal once the therapy was completed. Besides that, most of the respondent’s weight decreased after the therapy due to the minor decreases in other elements of the body weight such as visceral fat. The results obtained proved that the blended therapy along with the device was able to |
