my.uniten.dspace-213862023-05-04T19:03:53Z The Impact Of PV Location And Penetration To Power System Stability Mohammad Faiz Bin Ahmad Renewable Energy Power System Stability Solar Photovoltaic FYP 2 SEM 2 2019/2020 This thesis report investigates and observe the impact of Photovoltaic (PV) location and penetration to power system stability. In recent years, a significant increase in Renewable Energy (RE) especially in solar can be seen from National Energy Balance report from Energy Commission (EC). Furthermore, it is expected that the energy capacity for RE that contribute to the national energy mix will increase by 20% by 2025. For investigation and simulation purposes, the author injects different PV capacity to a utility grid model that use 33kV voltage level system. In addition, the author also simulates the utility grid without any injection from the PV system for controlled simulation study. Moreover, in order to draw out the maximum power generated by PV, this paper implements Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) with Perturbation and Observation (P and O) algorithm. The result will show the data in term of voltage and power with respect to the time. Moreover, these data will be compared with the controlled simulation which is simulation of non-injected PV system. Thus, shows the impact of PV penetration to the voltage and power stability and whether the PV system is suitable to be installed at the acquired irradiance and ambient temperature location. 2023-05-03T16:45:02Z 2023-05-03T16:45:02Z 2020-02 https://irepository.uniten.edu.my/handle/123456789/21386 en application/pdf |
