In order to achieve that, the organisation needs to maintain the output efficiency and the productivity of the industry because it is closely related with the sales of the company. If the productivity of the organisation is higher, the profit of the company will also be higher. The problem statement of this thesis can be described to identify the problems that interrupt the production line and building up the solution in order to satisfy the customer. Furthermore, the goals of this thesis are to examine and learn every detail of the production flow in manufacturing industry, analyse the problems that cause the delay using suitable tools and propose the best methods and solutions that contributes in increasing the productivity of manufacturing industry. Therefore, a fully understanding is needed upon the research problems and identification the scope of study was done to provide more confined area to study based on the objective. After that, one of the manufacturing company was selected to perform this study regarding the productivity and efficiency of the company. Moreover, lean tools such as Value Stream Mapping and Standardized Work were used to identify the issues in the production line and provide the basis for the production line to obey the improvement. The outcome portrays that the proposed layout can reduce the total work travel up to 19.38% compare to the current layout.
