Nevertheless, the widespread implementation of that concept is however discouraged by concern about flexibility and infrastructure requirements. This project aims to improve the overall experience of a smart home through the integration into a standard smart domestic sensory network of IEEE 802.11 wireless communication standard. The project’s objective was focused on developing a Wi-Fi built-in home system with a PIC micro-controller and Wi-Fi module as the main component. To produce a genuine a smart home system another component should be include such as DHT 11 temperature and humidity sensors and HC-SR505 Passive Infrared Motion sensors to imitate a home environment of real life.
