The tapes undergo heat treatment at temperature 840°C and 860°C. Dip-coating technique was being used to prepare the Bi-2212 superconducting tapes. X-ray Diffraction (XRD) and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) were used to characterize the samples. The transport critical current density, Jc for sintered at temperature 840°C and 860°C of the Bi-2212 superconducting tapes were measured using the data obtained from 4-point probe technique. Well-defined peaks of which could be the indication on the basis of a Bi-2212 phase structure based on the XRD patterns obtained for both tapes. This XRD patterns also illustrated that the sintering temperature at 860°C superconducting tape’s peaks were sharpened if compared to 840°C superconducting tape. Some reorientation occurs in the texture of the microstructure for sintered at a higher temperature sample than the sample that sintered at a lower temperature based on the SEM micrographs.
