The most common issue encountered by people nowadays is difficulty in lifting or moving heavy load furniture and appliances either at home or workplace resulting in severe health and safety concerns. The objective related in designing and developing of removable wheel mechanism which help to move different types of furniture and appliances. The scope of this project is mainly limited on the designing a removable wheel mechanism for certain types of furniture, equipment and appliances with the implementation of multifunctional fixing feature. Several research papers are discussed and analysed on the current existing designs of the device or mechanism that moves furniture and appliances. The design was done in such manner which is to overcome the limitations that were found in the existing designs and products. Design development process was utilized as the methodology for this project which includes a complete details of project planning and flow of work progress. The results were achieved with a proper analysis and calculations of the design. Prototype were developed and testing was done in order to verify and support the obtained data.
